Our Farm

The YellowFarm is located in the Capital Region of NY, just west of Albany. The feel and history of this wonderful old farm make it special for us. After decades of riding and training hunters and jumpers. it is an amazing change of pace to be raising sheep and cattle.

We enjoy our flock of registered Wensleydale and Teeswater sheep. These old breeds are large, hearty individuals with a long, soft, lustrous curls to die for. We breed and manage our flock to produce fleeces of superior quality for hand-spinners and crafters. We will continue breeding Wensleydales and Teeswaters through their respective upgrading programs which involves artificial insemination with purebred UK semen.

Our Highland Cattle are such a wonderful part of the farm. They are majestic, gentle creatures with long shaggy coats. Those great coats allow them to flourish in our cold North East winters, and help dissuade the flies all summer.

Our fleeces are available several times a year, and we offer a nice selection of quality breeding stock and wool sheep. Thanks for stopping by.
